Painting en plein air provides inspiration for the site-specific monotypes, unique paintings transferred to paper using a manual etching press. Glistening ink is imbedded forever into the fibers of the paper, an intriguing and intimate bond. The monotypes are one-of-a-kind, reversed paintings on plexiglass, created with oil base Charbonnell etching inks and small rubber brayers. The inked plexiglass is passed gently through the press to transfer the image to 100% cotton rag paper once only.
